Bihar Legsilative Council to have 23 committees

Bihar Legislative Council chairman Tarakant Jha said the number of committees of Bihar Legsilative Council had been reduced to 23 from 38 with parties allocated chairmanship of the committees as per their respective strength.

Talking to media in Patna on October 9, 2009, Jah said there was unanimous decision during an all-party meeting to reduce the number of the committees and we have done accordingly.
"A new tradition is being started as the parties have been accomodated as per their respective strength in the 75-member house." he said.
