Check corruption, Nitish tells officials

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar holds a meeting with District Magistrates of 38 districts of the state in Patna on October 15, 2009.

Speaking on the occasion Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar asked top officials to take all steps to check corruption while implementing schemes for the uplift of the poor.
He said the state government had received a number of complaints of corruption during implementation of schemes including the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.

Chief secretary Anoop Mukherjee, Director General of Police Anand Shankar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister R C P Singh, besides commissioners of all the divisions and principal secretaries to most of the departments in Bihar attended the meeting.
