Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released a book on shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan in Patna on November 15, 2009. The book "Shehnai Vadak Bismillah Khan" is written by Murali Manohar Srivastava and published by Prabhat Prakashan, New Delhi.Addressing the function, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that the birth anniversary of shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan would be celebrated as a state function on March 21. The state government would also set up a park in his memory in Patna.
"A park with Bismillah Khan statue would also be set up at Dumraon,the birth place of the great shehnai player," he added.
