Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated All-India Cooperative Week celebrations in Patna on November 15, 2009. Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and Bihar Cooperative Minister Giriraj Singh were present at the function.Speaking on the occasion Nitish Kumar said steps had been taken to hand over the management of the state's public distribution system to Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) which would help in preventing irregularities.
