The indefinite strike by the junior doctors of the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) entered the fifth day on November 14, 2009, affecting the normal functioning of the hospital badly.Photos show patients leaving the hospital to get medical attention in private hospitals and nursing homes. Poor patients have no choice save to wait for the strike to call off.
Junior doctors are on an indefinite strike to press the state government to fulfill its promise of hiking their stipend from Rs 13000 at present to Rs 25000 per month.
