The CM visited several places in Gaya district and its neighbourhood including Kurkihar, Sujatagarh, Dharmanhar and Dhudeshwari.
Speaking on the occasion Bihar Cihief Minister Nitish Kumar stressed the need for a thorough research by archaeologists at the key Buddhist pilgrim centre. "History of humanity is hidden in the area which requires thorough research, survey and extraction by experts,"he said.
Later, addressing a public meeting he said the places were of historic importance and would be connected to the Buddhist circuit.
