The indefinite strike by the junior doctors of the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) entered the second day on November 11, 2009, affecting the normal functioning of the hospital badly. Indoor patients left the hospital to get medical attention in private hospitals and nursing homes. Wards wore a deserted look through out the day.
Junior doctors are on an indefinite strike to press the state government to fulfill its promise of hiking their stipend from Rs 13000 at present to Rs 25000 per month.
