Professor Rashbihari Singh is new vice chancellor of Patna University

Patna: Four teachers of the Patna University got new assignments as two of them have been elevated as vice chancellor while the other two have been promoted as pro vice chancellor.

According to a Governor House notification on Saturday, professor Rasbihari Singh will be the new vice chancellor of the Patna University while professor Ravindra Kumar Sinha aka Dolphin Man will be the vice chancellor of Nalanda Open University.

Magadh Mahila College principal and former dean of the Patna University Dolly Sinha  has been nominated as pro vice chancellor of the Patna University while Dr Kayranand Paswan has been chosen as pro vice chancellor of Magadh University.

This is for the first time four teachers of Patna University have been elevated as vice chancellor and pro vice chancellor at a time.

Professor Sarva Narayan Jha has been made vice chancellor of Kameshwar Singh Sanskrit University, Darbhanga.

Professor Chandeshwar Prasad Singh will be the pro vice chancellor of the Kameshwar Singh Sanskrit University.


Other newly nominated pro vice chancellors are Ram Jatan Prasad (Tilka Majhi University, Bhagalpur, professor Raj Kumar Mandal (BRA Bihar University, Muzaffarpur), Dr Jay Gopal (LN Mithila University, Darbhanga), professor Syed Md Rafique Azad (MMH Arabic and Persian University, Patna) and Dr Madan Mohan Goyal (Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara).
