Patna, April 19, 2017: Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ananth Kumar arrived at Patna airport on Wednesday on his way to Motihari to participate in centenary celebrations of Champaran Satygrah.
Several BJP leaders including Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Dr Prem Kumar and former state president of the BJP Mangal Pandey welcomed Kumar at the airport.
Later, addressing a public meeting at Motihari Jila School ground, the minister said Barauni Fertilizer Plant would restart again within 3 years.
He said the central government has decided to establish Central Institute of Plastic and Engineering Technology in Motihari.
"The institute will be named as Champaran Satyagrah Centenary Celebration Institute", he said.
He said the Centre had already decided to reopen closed fertilizer plants across the country.
He said 50 Jan Aushadhi Kendra would be opened in the East and West Champaran districts.
