No respite from heat wave; schools up to class 8 will run from 7am to 12am

Patna: Heat wave remained unabated for the third consecutive day in the state capital on Thursday. Mercury soared past 40 degree Celsius forcing citizens to cover their head and face to get a little relief from scorching Sun.

Umbrellas were up on the head as parents gathered before a school in the afternoon to collect their wards for back home after the school suspended for the day.

The district administration, however, issued an order for schools to run classes up to 8th standard from 7am to 12am from April 28 (Friday). The order will be applicable to all government and private schools of the district.
