Patna, April 21, 2017: Contractual para medical employees of the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) called off their indefinite strike on Friday evening while strike continued at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital.
PMCH para medical employees called off their strike on an assurance given to them by the state health director-in chief Dr Azad Hind Prasad that there demands would be considered.
But the effect of the strike was witnessed through out the day as 23 operations were cancelled in NMCH while 61 operations were postponed in the PMCH.
Earlier, para medical employees took out a procession and staged demonstration before NMCH superintendent office.
