Patna petrol pumps observe 12-hour strike

Patna, April 11, 2017: Petrol pumps of the state capital remained closed for 12 hours in protest against the increasing incidents of loot at petrol pumps across the state.

The 12-hour long strike began at 6 am and ended at 6 pm causing hardship to bikers and auto-rickshaw drivers most.

The petrol pump owners association claimed that the strike was successful in Patna as all 156 petrol pumps remained closed.

The association stated that they would decide the further course of action in the meeting of the association members from different districts on April 16.

"If the government does not provide proper security to petrol pumps and meet other demands, the association will call for indefinite strike soon", association members said.
