Patna, April 8, 2017: Fire broke out in the huts located near the western end of the Patliputra Junction railway station of the East Central Railway on Saturday. The fire started leaping towards Gorakhpur-Patliputra Express train which was placed at the platform number 3 of the station.
Sensing the danger, the station master asked the driver to place the train out of the danger zone.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police jawans swung into action and tried to tame the flame with the help of local people.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot and douse the flame. No casualty was reported as the people residing in the huts took shelter in safer places seeing the flame.
