Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar flags off 'Gandhi Raths'





Patna, April 12, 2017: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday flagged off “Gandhi Raths” (Gandhi vans) to undertake journey across the states covering rural and urban areas to spread the messages and ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi.

The initiative has been taken in continuation of centenary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s historic Champaran Satyagrah.

The mobile vans carry documentary films on the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and pictures related to freedom struggle.

Before, flagging off the vans, Kumar watched a film on Gandhi along with people’s representatives, government employees and students at Adhiveshan Bhavan.

The vans also have soulful Bhajans liked by Mahatma Gandhi.
